Nevsky Shipyard received the delegation of Norwegian companies

On the 12th of May 2016 Nevsky Shipyard received the delegation of top managers from Norwegian companies that produce equipment for shipbuilding and ship repair. The delegation also comprised:  the Director of the commercial department of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Norway –Shavrov N.Y., Communication Director of the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce – Rune O. Meti, Commercial counselor of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway – Frode Mu.

The delegation's visit to the Nevsky Shipyard began with an introduction with the history of the shipyard. The Director General of the shipyard Kuznetsov E.Y. gave an overview of the main activity direction of the shipyard: shipbuilding, ship repair and machine building, the program of modernization and technical re-equipment of production capacities, as well as the projects  that on the moment are being built, among them the Medium-sized sea tanker project 23130, 4 Multipurpose small-draft salvage ships 2.5-3 MW of the project MPSV12, 2 Self-propelled dry-cargo vessels project RSD49 with deadweight of 7150 tons of the project RSD49.

The next step of this meeting was negotiation, where were discussed the shipyard`s perspective plans in particular the building of fishing trawlers. Nevsky Shipyard has already signed some Agreements of intent with the customer leads.  And, as it was noted, the most of customers are interested in Norwegian trawlers projects, because it is in Norway has gained the extensive experience in in the design and construction of the ships mentioned above. During the last year the shipyard has heavily invested in the modernization of slip, in particular, launching tracks and trolleys. As a result, the Nevsky Shipyard is able to build fishing trawlers up to 140 meters long and 23 meters wide, with a maximum draft of up to 7.5 tones.

During the meeting various options for cooperation were discussed, among them package deals including banking products and creation of the joint production or localization of manufacture at the Nevsky Shipyard.

A large number of questions on both sides of the participants, business and lively atmosphere indicated that the meeting was really interesting for all participants.
