Shipbuilding is one of priority directions for Nevsky Yard. More than 260 vessels of various class and design have been built by the Yard, among them:
- Passenger and guard ships – 26 units.
- Fuel-ships – 47 units.
- Tugboats-pushers, project 887A of 600 hp carrying capacity - 108 units.
- Tugboats, project 131 of 800 hp carrying capacity - 6 units.
- Tugboats-pushers of 1500 hp carrying capacity - 7 units.
- Container vessels of 3200 tons carrying capacity - 5 units.
- Cargo motor-ships of 2700 tons carrying capacity for bulk cargo - 48 units.
- Dry cargo motor-ships for the foreign companies of 2200-3000 tons carrying capacity - 4 units.
- Hulls of tugboats and dry cargo ships.

The Shipyard has got all the necessary equipment and qualified personnel in order to carry out the complex repair of vessels of internal and mixed “river- sea” type both during the navigation and non-navigational period: navigation, routine, medium repairs, repair in the scope of dry docking, renovation, remodeling and reclassification.
The production capacities of the Shipyard (see the corresponding section), and also good partner relations with the subcontractors, make it possible to carry out the repair of all types of the vessels, the weight and overall sizes of which meet the capacities of slip and water area of the Shipyard. During the navigation period (November- April) the Shipyard can simultaneously make the repair with the lift to the slip of 6 vessels of the type “STK”, “Volga - Balt”, “Sormovskiy”, “Volga- oil”, “Volga- Don” (the last 2 types - not more than five simultaneously).

Nevsky shipyard is the only company in Russia producing slip equipment: dollies, lift trucks and friction - drive winches for comb slipways are widely adopted at the yards all over Russia and other countries.
Dolly for a slipway SG2M-300
The dolly is intended for rise/descent of vessels in structure of comb slipways of ship-building and ship repair facilities in the conditions of temperate climate.
Driving of the dolly is carried out with the help of a hoist.
The undercarriage of the dolly consists of wheel slopes with blocks, timbered to the lower strakes of stringers of a frame. Between bearings and basic platforms of the lower strakes of a frame the barrel-type rubber shock-absorbers contributing pressure equalization between sprockets are installed.
Nevsky Yard resources allow to manufacture dollies for a slipway with light-weight characteristics for small slipways SK-150.
