July 10th, 2010 Nevsky Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant held the traditional Summer Sport Competitions for the Shipyard employees near the settlement of Maluksa. Thanks to sunny favorable weather the eventful program of competitions and contests was carried out entirely.
The following teams took part in the Summer Sport Competitions:
“Crew” – united team of divisions of the First Deputy General Director, Personnel Director and Security Director, Project Managers, as well as representatives from the Chief Shipbuilder’s Department and Production Scheduling Department.
“Sabotage” – united team of divisions of Chief Engineer and Technical Director.
“Brigantine” – team of Workshop No. 1.
“Big Cotton Buds” - united team of Slipway Production Department, Workshop No.2, Workshop No. 3 and Captain’s Department.
During solemn opening ceremony of Summer Sport Competitions the Director General of Nevsky Shipyard Vladimir Bazhenov greeted the teams and wished them good luck.
The winners in separate sports competitions such as football, volleyball, medley relay race and chess were revealed during the persistent struggle that took almost all the day time:
Football – “Sabotage”
Volleyball – “Sabotage”
Medley relay race – “Big Cotton Buds”
Chess – “Big Cotton Buds”
In between competitions and contests the participants of the Summer Sport Competitions swam and sunbathed, grilled shashlik and enjoyed outdoor activities in the open air.
In the evening creative contest– the favorite one - took place. All the teams took part in it. The jury formed from the representatives of the teams chose the team “Sabotage” as a winner in this competition.
The final team results in all of the competitions are as follows:
1st place – “”Big Cotton Buds”
2nd place – “Sabotage”
3rd place – “Brigantine”
4th place – “Crew”
No doubt that Summer Sport Competitions put the participants in an excellent mood, enabled them to feel full of energy and to gain positive impressions. Hopefully, the program of the competitions will be richer and more interesting next year, and more Shipyard employees will express willingness to participate in them. This time more than 120 people took part in the Competitions.
